Ngor means ""dignity"" in Wolof. 400m from the bay that bears the name of the fishing village Lebou, the island of Ngor is located north of Pointes des Almadies (in Dakar). The charm of this island of 500m out of 200 is discovered by walking randomly in its alleys. On the other side of the bay, the Atlantic Ocean with two famous spots for surfers: the right and the left of Ngor. In 1964, a sequence of the American documentary The Endless Summer, interpreted by the surf legend Robert August, was filmed there. This is our second favorite in Senegal after the island of Gorée.
