Visit Grand Popo in Benin and the Mono River

Close to the border of Togo, known for its hotels and inns by the sea, Grand Popo is a tourist site of Benin that must be visited. You will discover its huge lagoon that you will visit by sailing on the Mono River by canoe to the mouth of the King. Depending on the season you can discover the sea turtle hatcheries on Grand Popo beach and attend the Sea Turtle Festival on 8 January, or attend the vodou festival on 10 January or Pentecost at the xwla and Xweda community identity Festival, LA Nonvitcha.
By canoe with a guide, visit of the island of birds ; of the island of salts ; of the activity of the oysters in DJONDJI, of the braiding of the mat in Gbèzoumey, of the preparation of the palm oil in Kpèkô, of the mouth of the King with the techniques of typical peaches and preparation of the Coconut caramel.
